٢٧٤٦ - وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: كُنْت جَالِسًا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَرَجُلٌ يُصَلِّي،فَقَالَ: «اللَّهُمَّ1 إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَنَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ الْحَنَّانُ الْمَنَّانُ بَدِيعُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ، يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ ، يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ أَسْأَلُكَ. فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: «لَقَدْ دَعَا اللَّهَ بِاسْمِهِ الْعَظِيمِ الَّذِي إِذَا دُعِيَ بِهِ أَجَابَ، وَإِذَا سُئِلَ بِهِ أَعْطَى». رَوَاهُ التَّرْمِذِيُّ وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ وَالنَّسَائِيُّ وَابْنُ مَاجَه.

(1) His statement: "O Allah, I ask You..." – Other narrations mention similar supplications containing names not in this hadith, but the name "Allah" is present in all of them. This indicates that it is the Greatest Name. Mirqat al-Mafatih mentions this.
