From Abdullah ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with them), who said: One day, I went to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and I heard the voices of two men disputing over a verse. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came out to us, and his face showed signs of anger. He said: "The people before you were destroyed because of their disputes over the Book." [Narrated by Muslim.
