Chapter on Praying the Same Prayer Twice

Zujajat al-Masabih 1537Volume 1

English

Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever prays twelve rak'ahs in a day and night, a house will be built for him in Paradise: four before Dhuhr, two after it, two after Maghrib, two after Isha, and two before Fajr." [Narrated by Tirmidhi] In a narration by Muslim, she said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: 'There is no Muslim slave who prays to Allah twelve rak'ahs voluntarily every day, apart from the obligatory prayers, except that Allah will build for him a house in Paradise, or a house will be built for him in Paradise.'"
