Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) stood in prayer until morning, reciting one verse: 'If You punish them, they are Your servants; and if You forgive them, indeed, You are the Mighty, the Wise.'" (Quran 5:118)
