Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: When the verse "And those who hoard gold and silver" (At-Tawbah 9:34) was revealed, we were with the Prophet (ﷺ) on a journey. Some companions said, "This was revealed about gold and silver. If only we knew which wealth is better so we could acquire it." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The best wealth is a remembering tongue, a grateful heart, and a believing wife who helps him in his faith."
