English

Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that a Bedouin pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) then fell ill in Madinah. He came to the Prophet (ﷺ) saying: "O Muhammad, release me from my pledge." The Prophet refused. He came again and was refused. When he came a third time, the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Madinah is like a furnace - it expels its impurities and purifies what is good."
