Abu Sa’id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The Dajjal will come, but he is forbidden from entering the passes of Madinah. He will descend at some of the barren lands near Madinah. A man, who is the best of people or among the best of people, will go out to him and say: ‘I bear witness that you are the Dajjal about whom the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) informed us.’ The Dajjal will say: ‘What if I kill this man and then revive him? Will you still doubt the matter?’ They will say: ‘No.’ So he will kill him and then revive him. The man will say: ‘By Allah, I have never been more certain about you than I am today.’ The Dajjal will want to kill him again, but he will not be given power over him.”
