Zujajat al-Masabih 580Volume 1

English

And from Hasan ibn Ali, may Allah be pleased with them, that he saw blood on his shirt, so he spat on it, then rubbed it. It has also been narrated from Umar and Maymun ibn Mehran in a similar manner. Al-Bukhari narrated in the chapter "Can a woman pray in the garment she menstruates in?" from Aisha, who said: "None of us had more than one garment in which we menstruated. When it got stained with blood, she would — meaning she did it — with her saliva, rub it off with her fingernail. And it is narrated that she would wipe it off."
