کم دیکھا ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم جمعہ کے دن کا روزہ نہ رکھے ہوں (یعنی آپ اکثر
جمعہ کا روزہ رکھا کرتے تھے)۔
اس حدیث کی روایت ابن ماجہ نے کی ہے اور ترمذی اور نسائی نے بھی اسی طرح روایت کی ہے۔

(1) The statement: "Rarely..." In Alamgiriyyah, it is said: "Fasting on Friday alone is recommended according to the general opinion, like Monday and Thursday." This is mentioned in Bahr al-Raiq. In Al-Urf al-Shadhi, it is said: "Fasting on Friday is recommended as mentioned in Al-Durr al-Mukhtar. However, the commentators differed on its recommendation. In my opinion, if there is a fear of misunderstanding, one should not fast; otherwise, it is recommended. This reconciles the juristic and hadith narrations."
