٥٠٧٨ - وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ الله قَالَ: دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ فَلَمَّا رَأَى مَا بِهِمْ مِنَ الْحَاجَةِ خَرَجَ إِلَى الْبَرِيَّةِ، فَلَمَّا رَأَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ قَامَتْ1 إِلَى الرَّحَى فَوَضَعَتْهَا، وَإِلَى التَّنُّورِ فَسَجَرَتْهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَتْ: اللهُمَّ ارْزُقْنَا.
فَنَظَرَتْ، فَإِذَا2 الْجَفْنَةُ قَدْ امْتَلَأَتْ، قَالَ: وَذَهَبَتْ إِلَى التَّنُّورِ فَوَجَدَتْهُ مُمْتَلِيًّا، قَالَ: فَرَجَعَ الزَّوْجُ، قَالَ : أَصَبْتُمْ بَعْدِي شَيْئًا، قَالَتْ امْرَأَتُهُ: نَعَمْ مِنْ رَبَّنَا، وَقَامَ إِلَى الرَّحَى، فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: «أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَوْ لَمْ يَرْفَعْهَا لَمْ تَزَلْ تَدُورُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ». رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ.

(1) His statement: She went to the millstone, etc.: It indicates that the servant strives to seek the lawful as much as time and circumstances allow, then seeks help in achieving his matter from the Exalted King through supplication like: "O Allah, provide for us." (As stated in Al-Mirqat) (2) His statement: And behold the bowl: And it is the dish as in Al-Qamus, or the large dish as in Khalasat al-Lughah. The intent here is what is placed under the millstone to collect the flour. (As stated in Al-Mirqat).
