Abu Hurairah said: "The Prophet (ﷺ) would recite in the Fajr prayer on Fridays ‘Alif Lam Mim Tanzeel’ (Surah As-Sajdah) in the first unit, and in the second unit: ‘Has there come upon man a period of time...’ (Surah Al-Insan: 1)." [Agreed upon]
Al-‘Ayni said in "Al-Muhit": "On the condition that he sometimes recites other surahs so that an ignorant person does not assume that nothing else is permissible."

ف: اس حدیث سے معلوم ہوا کہ حضور صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اکثر جمعہ کے دن فجر کی نماز میں سورہ ”آلم سجدہ“ اور سورہ الدہر پڑھا کرتے تھے، علامہ عینی رحمہ اللہ نے اس بارے میں ”محیط“ کے حوالہ سے لکھا ہے کہ امام جمعہ کے دن فجر کی نماز میں ان دو سورتوں کے سوا بعض اوقات دوسری سورتیں بھی پڑھا کرے، تاکہ ناواقف ان سورتوں کو ہمیشہ پڑھنے سے یہ گمان نہ کرے کہ جمعہ کے دن نماز فجر میں ان دو سورتوں کے سوا اور سورتوں کا پڑھنا جائز نہیں ہے۔
