Hadith 1714

Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), who reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Do you know what happens on this night?"—referring to the night of the 15th of Sha'ban. She replied: "What happens, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "On this night, every person to be born in the coming year is recorded, and every person to die in the coming year is recorded. On this night, their deeds are raised, and their provisions are sent down." She said: "O Messenger of Allah, does anyone enter Paradise except by the mercy of Allah?" He replied: "No one enters Paradise except by the mercy of Allah," repeating it three times. I asked: "Not even you, O Messenger of Allah?" He placed his hand on his head and said: "Not even me, unless Allah covers me with His mercy," repeating it three times.
