Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The obligatory prayers were prescribed for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as four rak’ahs at home and two during travel. Just as he performed voluntary prayers before and after the obligatory prayers at home, he did the same during travel."
