Al-Bara’ ibn Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was asked what defects should be avoided in sacrificial animals. He gestured with his hand and said, 'Four: the lame whose limp is evident, the one-eyed whose blindness is evident, the sick whose illness is evident, and the emaciated that has no marrow in its bones.'"
