Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that a man demanded a debt from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and was harsh with him. His companions intended to intervene, but he said: “Leave him, for the one with a right has a say. Buy a camel for him and give it to him.” They said: “We only find one better than his age.” He said: “Buy it and give it to him, for the best of you is the one who repays best.”

ف: واضح ہو کہ اس واقعہ سے حضور صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے کمال خلق اور انصاف پسندی اور عدل کا ثبوت ملتا ہے جو دلیل ہے آپ کے پیغمبر برحق ہونے کی چنانچہ اس واقعہ سے وہ شخص مسلمان ہوگیا۔ اس حدیث سے دوسری بات یہ معلوم ہوتی ہے کہ قرض میں لیے ہوئے مال سے اچھا مال دینا مستحب ہے بلکہ زائد مال بھی دیا جا سکتا ہے۔ بشرطیکہ زیادتی کے لئے کوئی شرط نہ کی گئی ہو ورنہ وہ سود ہو جائے گا۔
