Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: "When he reached the largest Jamrah, he positioned the Ka'bah to his left and Mina to his right. He threw seven pebbles, saying Takbir with each, then said: 'This is how the one upon whom Surah al-Baqarah was revealed stoned.'"

ف: واضح ہو کہ مرقات میں علامہ سیوطی کی درمنثور کے حوالہ سے بیہقی کی سنن سے یہ روایت مذکور ہے کہ سالم بن عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہم نے ہر کنکری پھینکتے وقت اس طرح دعا فرمائی: ” اَللّٰهُ اَكْبَرُ، اَللّٰهُ اَكْبَرُ، اَللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ حَجًّا مَبْرُوْرًا، وَذَنْبًا مَغْفُوْرًا، وَعَمَلًا مَشْكُوْرًا “۔ اللہ بڑا ہے، اللہ بڑا ہے۔ اے اللہ! میرے حج کو قبول فرما۔ اور میرے گناہوں کو بخش دے۔ اور میرے عمل کو مقبول فرما۔ حضرت سالم نے فرمایا کہ ان کے والد حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا کہ حضور صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم بھی ہر کنکری پھینکتے وقت اسی طرح دعا فرمایا کرتے تھے۔12
