Sufyan ibn Abi Zuhayr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say, “Yemen will be conquered, and people will come forth with their families and followers. Yet Madinah is better for them if they knew. Then Syria will be conquered, and people will come forth with their families and followers. Yet Madinah is better for them if they knew. Then Iraq will be conquered, and people will come forth with their families and followers. Yet Madinah is better for them if they knew.”

Note 1
(1) The statement: “Madinah is better for them”: This does not prove Madinah’s superiority over Makkah. As stated in Al-Mirqat.
Note 1
