Umm Al-Fadl bint Al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: She entered upon the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: “O Messenger of Allah, I saw a disturbing dream last night.” He said: “What was it?” She said: “It was severe.” He said: “What was it?” She said: “I saw as if a piece of your body was cut off and placed in my lap.” The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “You have seen good. Fatimah will give birth, if Allah wills, to a boy who will be in your lap.” Fatimah gave birth to Husayn, and he was in my lap as the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said. One day, I entered upon the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and placed him in his lap. Then I glanced, and the eyes of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) were shedding tears. I said: “O Prophet of Allah, by my father and mother, what is wrong?” He said: “Jibril came to me and informed me that my nation will kill this son of mine.” I said: “This one?” He said: “Yes, and he brought me soil from his soil, red in color.”
