Mu'aiqib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said about a man leveling the ground where he prostrates: "If you must do it, do it only once."

ف: اس حدیث سے معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ نماز کی حالت میں سجدہ کی جگہ سے بلا ضرورت کنکریوں کا صاف کرنا مطلقاً مکروہ ہے اور ضرورت کی حالت میں ایک مرتبہ صاف کرنے کی اجازت ہے کیونکہ اس سے ضرورت رفع ہو جائے گی اور اس کے بعد دوبارہ ایسا کرنا فضول ہوگا۔ (شرح نقایہ، اعلاء السنن۔)
