Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated:
"He recited the verse: ‘This day I have perfected for you your religion...’ (Qur’an 5:3) in the presence of a Jew, who said: ‘If this verse had been revealed to us, we would have taken it as a day of celebration.’ Ibn Abbas replied: ‘It was revealed on two days of celebration: Friday and the Day of Arafah.’"
