Abu Tha'labah Al-Khushani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Indeed, Allah has prescribed obligations, so do not neglect them. He has set limits, so do not transgress them. He has forbidden certain things, so do not violate them. And He has remained silent about some matters out of mercy and not forgetfulness, so do not probe into them."

۱۸۷ - وَعَنْ أَبِي ثَعْلَبَةَ الْخُشَنِي (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ ﷺ: «إِنَّ اللهَ فَرَضَ فَرَائِضَ فَلَا تُضَيِّعُوْهَا، وَحَرَّمَ حُرُمَاتٍ فَلَا تَنْتَهِكُوْهَا، وَحَدَّ حُدُودًا فَلَا تَعْتَدُوْهَا، وَسَكَتَ عَنْ أَشْيَاءَ مِنْ غَيْرِ نِسْيَانٍ فَلَا تَبْحَثُوا عَنَهَا». رَوَاهُ الدَّارَقُطْنِيُّ.

اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اللہ تعالیٰ نے کئی فرائض فرض کئے ہیں بس تم ان کو ضائع نہ کرو، اور کئی چیزیں
حرام کی ہیں ان کا ارتکاب نہ کرو اور چند حدود مقرر فرمائے ہیں ان سے تجاوز نہ کرو، اور چند باتوں کے
بارے میں بلا کسی بھول کے سکوت فرمایا ہے، ان میں کرید نہ کرو۔ (دار قطنی نے اس کی روایت کی ہے)۔
