Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stayed in Madinah for ten years, sacrificing every year." 2

(2) The statement: "Sacrificing for ten years." In Al-Mirqat, it is said: "This indicates the obligation of sacrifice, as he consistently performed it for ten years during his stay in Madinah. His statement, 'Let them slaughter another in its place,' also indicates obligation, as the command to repeat an act is not known in Shariah except for obligatory acts."
