Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that when the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed over a funeral, he would say: "O Allah, forgive our living 2 and our dead, those present and those absent, our young and our old, our males and our females. O Allah, whomever of us You keep alive, keep him alive in Islam, and whomever of us You cause to die, cause him to die in faith. O Allah, do not deprive us of his reward, and do not subject us to trial after him." [Narrated by Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, and Ibn Majah]
Nasa'i narrated it from Ibrahim al-Ash'ali from his father, and his narration ends at: "Our males and our females." In a narration by Abu Dawud: "Keep him alive in faith and cause him to die in Islam," and at the end: "And do not lead us astray after him."

Note 2
(2) His statement: "O Allah, forgive..." In Fath al-Qadir, it is mentioned: "One should supplicate in the third takbir for the deceased, for oneself, for one's parents, and for all Muslims. There is no specific restriction on the supplication except that it should pertain to matters of the Hereafter. If one supplicates with what is narrated, it is among the best and most eloquent supplications."
