Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Whoever fasts on a Friday, Allah will write for him the reward of ten days, the likes of which are not found in this world." [Narrated by Bayhaqi in Shu’ab al-Iman] Yahya said, "I heard Malik say, 'I have not heard any scholar or jurist whom people follow prohibit fasting on Friday. Fasting on Friday is good, and I have seen some scholars fast on it, and I think they preferred it.'"

ف: واضح ہو کہ فتاویٰ عالمگیری میں مذکور ہے کہ جس طرح دوشنبہ اور پنجشنبہ کا روزہ منفرداً رکھنا مستحب ہے اسی طرح علمائے احناف کے پاس جمعہ کا روزہ بھی منفرداً رکھنا مستحب ہے۔ بحر الرائق میں بھی ایسا ہی مذکور ہے اور صدر کی مذکورہ حدیثوں سے بھی اس کی تائید ہوتی ہے۔12
