Abdullah ibn Sarjis (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that when the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) traveled, he would seek refuge from the hardships of travel, gloomy scenes, regression after progress, the supplication of the oppressed, and seeing evil in family and wealth.

٢٨٨٥ - وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَرْجِسَ (رضي الله عنه)قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِﷺ إِذَا سَافَرَ يَتَعَوَّذُ مِنْ وَعْثَاءِ السَّفَرِ وَكَابَةِ الْمُنْقَلَبِ وَالْخَوْرِ بَعْدَ الْكَوْرِ وَدَعْوَةِ الْمَظْلُومِ وَسُوءِ الْمَنْظَرِ فِي الْأَهْلِ وَالْمَالِ. رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمُ.

حضرت عبداللہ بن سَرْجِس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے آپ فرماتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم جب کبھی سفر پر روانہ ہوتے تو سفر کی مشقت، واپسی پر نقصان، بھلائی
کے بعد برائی، مظلوم کی بد دعا، اور اہل (وعیال) اور مال کی بری حالت دیکھنے سے اللہ تعالیٰ کی پناہ
طلب فرماتے تھے۔ ”اس کی روایت مسلم نے کی ہے۔“
