Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The veil between the eyes of the jinn and the private parts of the children of Adam when one of them enters the lavatory is to say: 'In the name of Allah.'" [Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, who said: "This is a strange hadith, and its chain of narration is not strong]
Ali al-Qari said: "Despite this, it is acted upon in matters of virtuous deeds, especially since [Narrated by Ahmad and al-Nasa'i from him, and al-Tabarani narrated something similar from Anas."

٣٤٧ - وَعَنْ عَلِيَّ (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: سَتْرُ مَا بَيْنَ أَعْيُنِ الْجِنَّ وَعَوْرَاتِ بَنِي آدَمَ إِذَا دَخَلَ أَحَدُهُمُ الْخَلَاءَ أَنْ يَقُولَ: بِسْمِ اللهِ . رَوَاهُ التَّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثُ غَرِيبٌ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ لَيْسَ بِقَوِيٌّ.
قَالَ عَلِيُّ الْقَارِي: وَمَعَ هَذَا يُعَمَلُ بِهِ فِي فَضَائِلِ الْأَعْمَالِ، سِيِّمَا وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالنَّسَائِيُّ عَنْهُ ، وَرَوَى الطَّبَرَانِيُّ عَنْ أَنَسٍ نَحْوَهُ.

علی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے
فرمایا: بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ، جنات کی آنکھوں اور بنی آدم کی شرمگاہ کے درمیان پردہ بسم اللہ کہنے سے پڑتا ہے
،جب کوئی بیت الخلاء میں داخل ہو تو بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ کہے۔(اس کی روایت امام احمد، نسائی نے کی ہے)۔
اور طبرانی نے حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے اسی طرح روایت کی ہے۔
