Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that when the jinn came to the Prophet (peace be upon him), they said: "O Messenger of Allah, some of your followers use bones or dung or hot stones for cleaning, for Allah has made these things a source of provision for us." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) forbade them from doing so.
