Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prohibited me from wearing a ring on this finger or this, and he pointed to the middle finger and the one next to it.

٤٢٥٩ - وَعَنْ عَليِ قَالَ: نَهَانِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صلي الله عليه واله وسلم انْ أَتَّخَتَّمَ فِي إِصْبَعِي هَذِهِ أَوْ هَذِهِ،قَالَ: فَأَوْمَاً إِلَى الْوُسْطَى وَالَّتِي تَلِيهَا. رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمُ.
