Chapter on Poetry, and Singing

Zujajat al-Masabih 4618Volume 4

English

Al-Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was carrying earth on the day of the Trench until his stomach was covered, saying: By Allah, without Allah, we would not be guided … Nor give charity, nor pray. So send down tranquility upon us … And make firm our feet if we meet. Indeed, the enemies have oppressed us … When they intended tribulation, we refused. He raised his voice, saying, “We refused, we refused.”
