Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Shall I not inform you of the best of you?” They said: “Yes.” He said: “The best of you are those with the longest lives and the best character.”

٤٨٧٩ - وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ ﷺ: «أَلَا أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِخِيَارِكُمْ؟» قَالُوا: بَلَى، قَالَ: «خِيَارُكُمْ أَطْوَلُكُمْ أَعْمَارًا وَأَحْسَنُكُمْ أَخْلَاقًا». رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ.

سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے انہوں نے کہا رسول اللہ
صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: کیا میں تم کو تم میں کے اچھے لوگ نہ بتاؤں؟ انہوں نے عرض کیا:
ہاں بتائیے، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تم میں کے اچھے لوگ وہ ہیں جن کی عمریں لمبی ہوں
اور اخلاق میں تم میں سب سے اچھے ہوں۔ (احمد)۔
