Hadith 5226

Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “When my nation does fifteen things, calamity will befall it: when public wealth is treated as private gain, trust is taken as booty, zakat is considered a burden, a man obeys his wife and disobeys his mother, honors his friend and disrespects his father, voices are raised in mosques, the vilest among a people become their leader, a man is honored out of fear of his evil, wine is drunk, silk is worn, singing girls and musical instruments are adopted, and the last of this nation curses its first. Then expect a red wind, sinking, or transformation.”
