Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “I saw myself tonight at the Ka’bah, and I saw a man with a dark complexion, the finest you have seen among men of dark complexion, with hair reaching his shoulders, the finest hair you have seen, combed and dripping with water, leaning on the shoulders of two men, circumambulating the House. I asked, ‘Who is this?’ They said, ‘This is the Messiah, son of Mary.’ Then I saw a man with curly, coarse hair, one-eyed in the right eye, his eye like a floating grape, resembling Ibn Qatan more than anyone I have seen, placing his hands on the shoulders of two men 1, circumambulating the House 2. I asked, ‘Who is this?’ They said, ‘This is the Dajjal, the false Messiah.’” [Agreed Upon]
In another narration regarding the Dajjal: “A red, stout man with curly hair, one-eyed in the right eye, most resembling Ibn Qatan.”

٥٢٦٠ - وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ (رضي الله عنهما) أَنَّ رَسُوْلَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُنِي اللَّيْلَةَ عِنْدَ الْكَعْبَةِ فَرَأَيْتُ رَجُلًا آدَمَ كَأَحْسَنِ مَا أَنْتَ رَاءٍ مِنْ أُدْمِ الرِّجَالِ لَهُ لِمَّةٌ كَأَحْسَنِ مَا أَنْتَ رَاءِ مِنَ اللَّمَمِ قَدْ رَجَلَهَا فَهِيَ تَقْطُرُ مَاءً مُتَّكِنَّا عَلَى عَلَى عَوَاتِقِ رَجُلَيْنِ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ فَسَأَلْتُ مَنْ هَذَا فَقَالُوا: هَذَا الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ قَالَ: ثُمَّ إِذَا أَنَا بِرَجُلٍ جَعْدٍ قَطَطٍ أَعْوَرٍ الْعَيْنِ الْيُمْنَى كَأَنَّ عَيْنَهُ عِنَبَةٌ طَافِيَةٌ كَأَشْبَهِ مَنْ رَأَيْتُ مِنَ النَّاسِ بِابْنِ قَطَنٍ وَاضِعًا يَدَيْهِ عَلَى1 مَنْكِبَيْ رَجُلَيْنِ يَطُوفُ 2 بِالْبَيْتِ فَسَأَلْتُ مَنْ هَذَا فَقَالُوا : هَذَا الْمَسِيحُ الدَّجَّالُ. مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ.
وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ : قَالَ فِي الدَّجَّالِ: رَجُلٌ أَحْمَرُ جَسِيمٌ جَعْدُ الرَّأْسِ أَعْوَرُ عَيْنِ الْيُمْنَى أَقْرَبُ النَّاسِ بِهِ شَبَهًا ابْنُ قَطَنٍ».

سیدنا عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ
صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میں اپنے کو (خواب میں) کعبہ کے پاس دیکھا، پس میں نے ایک
گندمی رنگت کے شخص کو دیکھا، جوان تمام گندمی رنگت کے لوگوں میں بہت اچھے ہیں جنکو تم دیکھے ہو
ان تمام زلف والے لوگوں میں جن کو تم دیکھے ہو بہت اچھے ہیں اور وہ اس میں کنگھی کئے ہوئے
ہیں اور اس سے پانی ٹپک رہا ہے، دو آدمیوں کے کاندھے پر ٹیک لگاتے ہوئے بیت اللہ شریف کا
طواف کر رہے ہیں تو میں نے دریافت کیا: یہ کون ہیں؟ تو ان لوگوں نے کہا: یہ مسیح ابن مریم ہیں، آپ
نے فرمایا: پھر اچانک میری نظر ایک شخص پر پڑی جو چھوٹے گھنگریالے بال والا اور داہنی آنکھ کا کانا تھا،
اسکی آنکھ پھولے ہوئے انگور کے دانہ کی طرح تھی، جن لوگوں کو میں نے دیکھا انمیں وہ ابن قطن سے
زیادہ مشابہہ تھا، وہ اپنے ہاتھوں کو دو آدمیوں کے مونڈھوں پر1 رکھے ہوئے بیت اللہ شریف کا
طواف کر رہا تھا2، میں نے دریافت کیا یہ کون ہے؟ تو انہوں نے کہا: یہ مسیح دجال ہے۔ (متفق علیہ)۔
اور ایک روایت میں ہے کہ آپ نے دجال کے بارے میں فرمایا: وہ
ایک سرخ رنگ کا موٹا گھنگھریالے سر والا، داہنی آنکھ کا کانا شخص ہے لوگوں میں اس سے بہت
مشابہت رکھنے والا ”ابن قطن“ ہے۔

(1) His statement: “on the shoulders of two men”: The apparent meaning is that these are his aides supporting his falsehood, just as the two men with Jesus are those assisting him in truth, perhaps Al-Khidr and the Mahdi from his companions. (As stated in Al-Mirqat)

(2) His statement: “circumambulating the House”: Al-Turbishti said: The Dajjal’s circumambulation of the Ka’bah, despite being a disbeliever, is interpreted as part of the Prophet’s (ﷺ) visions, revealing that Jesus, in his beautiful form upon his descent, circumambulates the religion to establish and reform it, while the Dajjal, in his repulsive form, circles the religion to perpetuate distortion and corruption. (As stated in Al-Mirqat)
