English
Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: When the Prophet (ﷺ) addressed the people, he leaned on a palm trunk from the mosque’s pillars. When the pulpit was made for him and he sat on it 1, the palm trunk he used to address near cried out until it nearly split. The Prophet (ﷺ) descended, took it, pressed it to him, and it sobbed like a child being soothed until it calmed. He said: It cried for what it heard of the remembrance.
