Chapter on Purification of Impurities

Zujajat al-Masabih 590aVolume 1

English

From Muawiya bin Abi Sufyan: He said, "I asked Umm Habiba, the wife of the Prophet, whether the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to pray in the place where he used to have relations." She said, "Yes, if there was no impurity there." [Narrated by Nasai and Abu Dawood, and its chain is authentic] Regarding the above, Ibn al-Malik and Sheikh Abdul Haqq said: These narrations serve as evidence for the impurity of semen, as stated by Imam Abu Hanifa (may Allah be pleased with him). Similarly, the moisture of a woman's private parts is considered impure because it is mixed with the impure semen, as mentioned in the "Ihya' al-Sunan" commentary.
