٦٠٢٦ - وَعَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ قَالَ: كَانَ 1 عَطَاءُ الْبَدْرِيِّينَ خَمْسَةَ آلَافٍ خَمْسَةَ آلَافٍ، وَقَالَ عُمَرُ : لَأُفَضَّلَنَّهُمْ عَلَى مَنْ بَعْدَهُمْ. رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ.

(1) The statement “the stipend”: Meaning during the time of As-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him). The statement “I will surely give them preference over those who came after them”: Meaning over others in rank, indicating their stipends were complete, unlike others. He also meant he would prefer them even if he increased beyond that amount. (As stated in Al-Mirqat)

(۱) قوله : كان أي في زمن الصديق الله. وقوله: وقال عمر لأفضلنهم على من بعدهم أي على غيرهم في المرتبة يعني كانت عطياتهم كاملة بخلاف غيرهم، وأنا أيضًا لأفضلنهم على غيرهم وإن زدت على هذا المقدار. كذا في «المرقاة».

(74) قوله: كان۔ یعنی حضرت ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کے زمانہ میں۔ وقوله: وقال عمر لأفضلنهم على من بعدهم۔ یعنی ان پر جو مرتبہ میں ان سے کم ہیں۔ یعنی ان (بدری صحابہ) کے وظیفے مکمل تھے برخلاف ان کے علاوہ کے اور میں بھی ان کے علاوہ پر ان کو فضیلت دونگا اگرچہ میں اس مقدار میں زیادتی کروں۔ (مرقات)
