Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "Indeed, Iblis places his throne upon the water, and then he sends out his troops to cause division among people. The closest to him in position is the one who causes the greatest trial. One of them comes and says: 'I did such and such,' and he replies: 'You have done nothing.' Then one of them comes and says: 'I did not leave him until I caused division between him and his wife.' He draws him close and says: 'Yes, you.' And then he embraces him."
