Hadith 2366

Abu Musa Al-Ash’ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Every Muslim must give charity.” They said: “What if he cannot?” He said: “Let him work with his hands, benefit himself, and give charity.” They said: “What if he cannot do that?” He said: “Let him help someone in need.” They said: “What if he cannot do that?” He said: “Let him enjoin good.” They said: “What if he cannot do that?” He said: “Let him refrain from evil, for that is charity.”
