Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Allah is Pure and accepts only what is pure. He has commanded the believers as He commanded the Messengers: 'O Messengers, eat from the good things and do righteous deeds.' (Al-Mu'minun 23:51) And He said: 'O you who believe, eat from the good things We have provided for you.' (Al-Baqarah 2:172)" He then mentioned a man who travels widely, disheveled and dusty, raising his hands to the sky, saying: "O Lord! O Lord!" Yet his food is haram, his drink is haram, his clothing is haram, and he was nourished with haram—so how can his supplication be answered?
