Chapter on Description of Paradise and Its People

Zujajat al-Masabih 5401Volume 4

English

Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “A morning 1 in the cause of Allah or an evening is better than this world and all it contains. If a woman from the women of Paradise looked upon the earth, she would illuminate everything between them and fill it with fragrance. Her headscarf on her head is better than this world and all it contains.”

Note 1

A morning

(1) His statement: “A morning”: meaning a single instance of going out in the early part of the day. His statement: “an evening”: meaning a single instance of going out in the latter part of the day or early night. The word “or” is not for doubt but for variation, meaning each of them in the cause of Allah’s pleasure, such as fighting, pilgrimage, migration, or seeking knowledge. (As stated in Al-Mirqat)

Note 1
