Narrated by Imran ibn Husayn (may Allah be pleased with them): Two men from Muzayna asked: "O Messenger of Allah, do you see what the people do today and how they strive in their actions? Is it something already decreed upon them, or is it what they will do in the future, guided by what their Prophet has brought them and the proof being established upon them?" He replied: "No, it is something already decreed upon them and carried out. The confirmation of this is in the Book of Allah, the Almighty: {And by the soul and the One who balanced it and inspired it with its wickedness and its righteousness} [Ash-Shams: 7-8]."
