Narrated by Abdullah ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him): I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: "Indeed, Allah created His creation in darkness, then cast His light upon them. Whoever among them was touched by that light was guided, and whoever missed it went astray. That is why I say: 'The pen has dried according to the knowledge of Allah.'"
