Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: "We were commanded to say سبحان الله thirty-three times, الحمد لله thirty-three times, and الله اكبر thirty-four times after every prayer. Then a man from the Ansar saw a dream in which he was told, 'Did the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) command you to say سبحان الله, الحمد لله, and الله اكبر after every prayer?' The Ansari said in his dream, 'Yes.' He was told, 'Make it twenty-five and include the Tahlil (لا اله الا الله) twenty-five times.' When he woke up, he went to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and informed him. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, 'Do so.'"
