From Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "As for what follows: The best of speech is the Book of Allah, and the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad, and the worst of matters are those that are newly introduced, and every innovation is misguidance."

١٣٤ - وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: «أَمَّا بَعْدُ، فَإِنَّ خَيْرَ الْحَدِيْثِ كِتَابُ اللهِ، وَخَيْرَ الْهَدْيِ هَدْيُ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَشَرَّ الْأُمُورِ مُحْدَثَاتُهَا، وَكُلَّ بِدْعَةٍ ضَلَالَةٌ». رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ.

سیرت محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی سیرت ہے اور بدترین امور (دین میں) نئی باتیں ہیں، اور ہر بدعت
گمراہی ہے۔ (مسلم نے اس کی روایت کی ہے)۔
