Alqamah reported that Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) performed two prostrations of forgetfulness after the salam and mentioned that the Prophet (peace be upon him) did the same.

١٣٨٤- وَعَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ : أَنَّ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ (رضي الله عنه) سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَي السَّهْوِ بَعْدَ السَّلَامِ، وَذَكَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ. رَوَاهُ ابْنُ مَاجَهِ، وَرَوَى التَّرْمِذِيُّ نَحْوَهُ.
