Shaqiq narrated: ‘Abdullah ibn Mas‘ud (may Allah be pleased with him) used to give a reminder to the people every Thursday. A man said to him, "O Abu ‘Abdur-Rahman, I wish you would remind us every day." He replied, "The only thing that prevents me from doing so is that I dislike boring you. I take care to give you reminders at intervals, as the Prophet (ﷺ) used to do with us, out of fear of making us bored."
