Uqbah ibn Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Have you not seen the verses revealed tonight the like of which has never been seen? 'Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the daybreak' and 'Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of mankind.'"

٢٦٣٦ - وَعَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِﷺ: «أَلَمْ تَرَ آيَاتٍ أُنْزِلَتْ اللَّيْلَةَ لَمْ يُرَ مِثْلُهُنَّ قَطُّ، ﴿قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ﴾ وَ﴿قُلْ2 أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ﴾». رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ.

عقبہ بن عامر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے وہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ
علیہ وسلم نے ایک دفعہ صحابہ کرام سے فرمایا کہ عجب آیات ہیں جو آج کی رات اتاری گئی ہیں ان کے
مثل (دفع سحر اور حفظ بلیات میں ایسی) اور آیتیں نہیں دیکھی گئیں اور وہ ”قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ،
اور قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ“ کے سورتوں کی آیتیں ہیں۔ اس کی روایت مسلم نے کی ہے۔

(2) His statement: "Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the dawn, etc." It appears that the Basmalah in these [surahs] is not part of their verses. This aligns with the view of the meticulous scholars among our companions that it was revealed to separate between surahs. This was mentioned in Al-Mirqat.
