Mujahid narrated: Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) was asked, “How many times did the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) perform ‘Umrah?” He replied, “Twice.” ‘A’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said, “Ibn ‘Umar knows that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) performed ‘Umrah three times apart from the one combined with his Hajj.” [Narrated by Abu Dawud] A similar narration is recorded by Bukhari and ‘Abd al-Razzaq. Al-Jawhar al-Naqi states: “The chain of Abu Dawud’s hadith is authentic and meets Bukhari’s standards.”
