And from Abu Ayoub, Jabir, and Anas, it is reported that when this verse was revealed: "In it are men who love to purify themselves, and Allah loves those who purify themselves" (At-Tawbah: 108), the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "O group of Ansar, indeed Allah has praised you for your cleanliness, so what is your practice?" They replied: "We perform wudu (ablution) for prayer, we take a bath for janabah (impurity), and we cleanse ourselves with water." He ﷺ said: "That is it, so you must do it."
