Asma’ bint Abi Bakr narrated: I was pregnant with Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr in Makkah. I gave birth in Quba’, then brought him to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and placed him in his lap. He called for a date, chewed it, then spat it into his mouth, performed tahnik, prayed for him, and blessed him. He was the first child born in Islam.
