Note 1
(1) The statement: “I do not know that the Prophet (ﷺ) saw thinned bread, etc.”: Ibn Battal said: Eating thinned bread is permissible, but the Prophet (ﷺ) avoided it out of asceticism, shunning luxury and preferring what is with Allah, per “Umdat al-Qari.” In “Al-Alamgiriyyah,” there is no harm in eating faludhaj (a sweet dish) or delicious foods, per “Al-Zahiriyyah.” Enjoying various fruits is permissible, but avoiding them is better, per “Khazanat al-Muftin.”
